Via Hansa & Borealis is pleased to announce the establishment of the North American Sales and Promotion office servicing the US and Canada. The office will be managed by Gordon Dirker, Vice President of Business Development for North America. Gordon will be directing sales and marketing activities, seeking to establish new business partnerships as well as managing the relationships with current US and Canadian vendors and partners.

Gordon Dirker brings an extensive background in travel sales and marketing to his new role at Via Hansa & Borealis. Prior to representing the Via Hansa & Borealis brands, Gordon was employed by Hurtigruten, the Norwegian Ferry and Cruise operator as their regional Vice President for the Americas for nearly 4 years. In addition, he spent 18 years in progressively responsible roles with TravCorp, a leading travel and leisure group operating 24-award winning brands in more than 60 countries. Educated in the Netherlands, Gordon is fluent in four languages and has traveled throughout much of the world.

The Kämp Collection Hotels will get an addition in April 2018 when Hotel St. George will open in the heart of Helsinki. The building of the new hotel dates back to the 1840s and throughout the years it has hosted the Finnish Literature Society, the printing house for the first Finnish newspaper Suometar and the Helsinki Finnish Club, among others. The hotel will have 153 individually decorated guest rooms, a restaurant, winter garden bar, six meeting rooms and a contemporary spa center. While Lithuania has celebrated centennial anniversary on the 16th of February and Estonia on the 24th of February, we are looking forward to the celebrations of centennial anniversary of Latvia on 18th of November. All three Baltic countries celebrate the regained freedom and independence with various events taking place throughout the year. The main highlights include the National Song festivals taking place in summer – 30.06-07.07.2018 in Riga, 30.07-06.08.2018 in Vilnius- as well as Great Summer Week in Estonia with huge sing-along event “The Power of Song” on 19th of August in Tallinn.
