TALLINN ACCESSIBILITY TO INCREASE IN 2026
Tallinn Airport’s route network is expanding in 2026 with multiple new direct flights and increased frequencies on key connections, making Tallinn easier to reach by air. Wizz Air, airBaltic, SAS, Eurowings, and Jet2 are among the carriers adding or growing services. The new international air services from Tallinn include: airBaltic will launch summer 2026 flights from Tallinn to Athens, Hamburg, and Vienna, expanding travel options into Southern and Central Europe. Jet2 plans winter 2026 flights from Tallinn to Leeds-Bradford and London Gatwick, further broadening access from the UK. Wizz Air will introduce direct flights to Gdansk and seasonal routes to Rome, among others. More flights from Scandinavia, including Copenhagen and Oslo, operated by SAS and airBaltic. These developments are further supported by an expansion of the passenger terminal to accommodate expected growth in passenger numbers at Tallinn Airport.
Estonia continues to enhance its connectivity for individual leisure travellers and groups, and international meetings, incentives, conferences, and events. Tallinn, with its medieval charm and contemporary novelties, has increasingly become a popular destination for all segments of travellers. The city can easily be combined with visits to other Estonian destinations such as the cultural capital Tartu, the spa resort town of Pärnu, or Narva on the Russian border. Tallinn’s proximity to Helsinki, only 80 km away or a two-hour ferry journey, as well as to the Latvian capital Riga, just 300 km away or 45 minutes by flight or approximately five hours by coach or car, makes it an ideal hub for regional travel. Via Hansa & Estonia warmly welcomes this development and is ready with tailored offers for individual travellers, leisure groups, and MICE groups.
