A new three star Hotel Air has been opened beginning of June in Kaunas. Hotel is located just opposite the International Kaunas Airport, it has 53 modern guest rooms, 24/7 reception, free WiFi throughout the hotel and spacious parking lot.

REOPENING OF HOTEL RATONDA IN VILNIUS

The four-star Hotel Ratonda in Vilnius has been reopened beginning of May after an extensive reconstruction. The hotel has now 43 completely renovated guest rooms and suites, two conference rooms for 30 and 80 persons, a restaurant and a bar as well.

Recently a new restaurant caught our attention. Grey has been described as a place with a cosy atmosphere yet with a very contemporary style, while the food is delicious and highly rated. Via Hansa has been booking this restaurant for its clients and will continue to do so this season. We have agreed very good menus for group lunches as well as dinners.

Lithuania has joined Baltic neighbours in euro club

Lithuania adopted the euro on 1 January 2015, following its Baltic neighbours Estonia and Latvia into the currency bloc. Estonia adopted the euro in 2011, and Latvia in 2014 – and the experience has been positive for them. With Lithuania's entry the eurozone now has 19 members.

Via Hansa Vilnius is proud to announce that is currently working on the project “Increasing the export of the Limited Liability Company Via Hansa Vilnius”. This project is funded by Economic Growth Action Programme together with Cohesion Fund and the Republic of Lithuania state’s budget in accordance to the Article (EB) no.1828/2006, paragraph 8, part 4. In total the project is worth EUR 30694 of which 60 percent - EUR 18416 is funded by EU.

Via Hansa Vilnius has secured substantial co-funding from the European Union for a large project to promote tourism to Lithuania. Part of the money will be spent this winter to co-fund participation in international workshops and fairs: BITEXPO, 10-12.12.2014 in Brussels, MATKA, 15-18.01.2015 in Helsinki, and TUR, 19-22.03.2015 in Gothenburg.

On July 23, 2014 the European Union General Affairs Council of Ministers has adopted the final decision on Lithuania’s participation in the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) from 1 January 2015. From this date Lithuania will become the 19th full-fledged member of the eurozone, which will start using the euro as the single currency of the European Union.
