The hotel scene in the university town Tartu is changing this summer when the brand new and stylish superior four-star Hotel Lydia opens on June 30. The hotel got its name after a famous Estonian poet Lydia Koidula. It is located in the very heart of the city on the slopes of Toomemägi Hill just behind Tartu Town Hall Square. The hotel will feature 70 guest rooms including classic, superior, executive rooms and 4 spacious suites. It will also include an event centre with flexible layout options and modern high-tech solutions for up to 200 guests. The hotel will also have a fine dining restaurant Hõlm with open kitchen and a cosy SPA Lounge offering a variety of saunas.

The other important hotel opening is scheduled for the late autumn this year. The four-star V Spa and Conference Hotel - the biggest spa and conference hotel in southern Estonia - will open its doors in the new business quarter of the city centre of Tartu. The hotel will feature 79 rooms including superior and deluxe rooms, spacious studio rooms and suites, spa centre, modern conference centre and restaurant for 140 people. The spa centre will feature spacious pool, 11 saunas, 11 treatment rooms, relaxation world with light therapy and a caravan room, Jacuzzis, a Japanese bath, children’s pools and spa bar. The V Conference centre on the 2nd floor of the hotel will have conference and training rooms, as well as banquet halls with state-of-the-art technology for up to 700 people.
