ESTONIAN EU-PRESIDENCY FOCUS ON DIGITAL EUROPE

ESTONIAN EU-PRESIDENCY FOCUS ON DIGITAL EUROPE
11.07.2017

Estonia has begun its 6-month term of chairing the Council of the EU on 1st of July 2017 and more than 260 international events will take place during the period, with the total combined attendance estimated at 25,000 delegates. Most conferences will be held in Tallinn and the busiest meeting months will be July, September and October. One of the main topics for the Estonian EU-Presidency is Digital Europe and the Free Movement of Data; and one of the most important meetings will be The Tallinn Digital Summit on 29th September, where EU heads of states will come together to discuss digital issues affecting the EU.

Surprisingly, the main presidency venue is not a historical palace or modern conference centre as traditionally, but a former historical power station - the Tallinn Creative Hub, today a unique multifunctional creative centre of urban culture and business. Via Hansa DMC has good experience in arranging various events in this exiting venue and from November 2017 it’s free again for all other events - just contact us for fresh inspirational ideas. For more information about the Estonian EU-Presidency events or requests for related meetings, please contact Via Hansa Tallinn office.
