Friday evening saw the festive opening of Danish Week at Vihula Manor in the Lahemaa National Park in North Estonia. Denmark’s Ambassador to Estonia, Mr. Søren Kelstrup, opened the event at a Black Tie Gala Dinner for around 60 invited guests. Danish chef Jesper Brinkløv is featuring Nordic cuisine during the week and other highlights in the program include a Danish House, where the Danish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce and its members are displaying their activities and products, an exhibition by Danish painter and ceramist Søren Kent, seminars about Danish-Estonian cooperation, themed dinners, concerts and much more. The week will conclude on November 15 with an afternoon concert by Danish jazz duo Sunding & Vinding. The event has attracted overwhelming interest and support and Unique Hotels has decided to arrange a Nordic Week event every year in November with a focus on one of the five Nordic countries. The focus will follow the rotation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the Nordic Countries, so that next November Finnish Days will take place. Vihula Manor, with its 75 rooms and suites, extensive restaurants, banqueting and conference facilities, historical venues, ESPA and many leisure facilities, is a perfect place for the activities and events of Nordic Week, and it is also a superb choice for conferences, incentives, private and corporate events and celebrations.
